BODY-SOUL WRITING 2006

This program brings movement, music and dreams into the process of writing autobiography. Guided meditation, gentle movement exercises and dream-work help participants bring the body’s experience to consciousness and expression from an embodied perspective. Drawing from the work of Marion Woodman and C.G. Jung, we will explore how the unique images and symbols that live in us can deepen and vitalize our writing. The course is for those who have already done a course in personal writing.

Marlene teaches the writing and Ursula the dream-work components of this five-day Intensive; movement and other creative expression are co-taught by Ursula and Marlene.

The Pregnant Virgin: Twenty Years Later

Ursula, Marlene Schiwy, Judy Zappacosta and Marta Elders will join Marion Woodman in teaching a weeklong Intensive on Marion Woodman's understanding now of her ground-breaking book “The Pregnant Virgin, A Process of Psychological Transformation” which was first published in 1985. The woman who is virgin, one-in-herself, does what she does, not because of any desire to please, not to be liked, or to be approved, even by herself; not because of any desire to gain power over another…but because what she does is true . Sandplay, writing, music and dance will be integrated into the explorations of the Body/Soul connection, along with dream-work and bodywork.

Date : February 9 to February 16, 2005

Location : Casa de Maria, Santa Barbara/California
