I have lusted after one of these since buying my 1968 TR6R new for $1195 can. The finance company wouldn't lend me the extra $400 for a Thruxton. Bought out of desperation at the Daytona Bike Week Auction in March 1995 after watching the price of these machines skyrocket to impossible heights in the early 90's. Was set up as an AHRMA racer by Dick Miles, nice aluminum tank and every- thing safety wired. Has now got a repro Thruxton fairing from Sprint England and a new fishtail from Armours.
