The Saint-Henri Rug Hookers is a non-profit organization. This is a free Rug Hooking activity close to downtown Montreal where everyone is welcome.
We meet once a month for a rug-hooking session from September through May at the CRCS Saint-Zotique Community Centre (Centre Récréatif, Culturel et Sportif Saint-Zotique) in Saint-Henri at 75 George-Etienne-Cartier, Montreal, Quebec. The meetings are usually held on the second Saturday in the month and run from 11 a.m to 3 p.m. The community center is located close to the George Étienne Cartier Square, the Lachine Canal and the Saint-Henri Metro station.
The dates for the meetings for the year 2011 to 2012 are given below.
Come join us for a relaxing day of hooking rugs and the sharing of rug hooking ideas.

Activities
An exhibition of members' hooked rugs is held every year in St-Henri. We regularly hold workshops in rug hooking techniques given by experienced teachers. Members participate in the annual show organized by the Green Mountain Rug Hooking Guild called Hooked in the Mountains Rug Show which is held in November in Shelbourne, Vermont. Last spring we exhibited our hooked rugs in a show on Ile d'Orleans and we demonstrated the craft of rug hooking to the public.
In the Spring of 2012 we are planning a repeat visit to Ile d'Orléans on May 19-20. We received so many good comments about our previous visit to Ile d'Orléans both from our own members and from the visitors who came to see our show that we have decided to repeat the experience. The objective of this weekend will be to promote the art and craft of rug hooking in the Quebec City area.
In the Fall of 2012 our guild will host an exhibition of our latest hooked rugs
which will be held on October 19-21 and October 26-28. Also a rug hooking workshop for members given by Judith Dallegret is being planned for October 20 and October 27. Further details of these events will be provided as our plans evolve.
