Although
there is considerably more than rusty pipes and puzzling machines in what
has done the sucess of Riven, the sequel of Myst, these two features seems
to leave a permanent print in the player's mind, months after they finished
the game. I thought some of you would enjoy the shots I brought back from
a city nearby.

Displaying
plenty of material taken from desafected hydro-electric centrals, Shawinigan
offers some interesting picture opportunity for trained eyes - the ones
that keep a fond memory of striking textures and omnipresent steam pipes
in Riven.

Connectors
Two
connectors that used to be part of the central's pipe web. Mind to climb?

Light
in the Boiler's pipe!
This
huge pipe, one and half the size of a human being, used to convey gallons
of furious water from the nearby waterfall to the "turbines" inside the
hydro-electric central. Unfortunately, guides did not offer the willing
tourists the opportunity to explore further down the tunnel.

The speed and volume of the water rushing throught the pipes were constantly
monitored in order to maintain constant pressure, and therefore, productin
of electric power. If I recall well, this machine was part of the
process - and manually activated as you can see. Hope this will be
of some inspiration for Cyan... :)
