The Captain is gone fishin'

My portraits are more about me than they are about the people I photograph.

ME or Else

About "About": Many (if not most) people got a personnal webpage rant about themselves and their interesting lifes. Now, anybody ever felt that the About section is the most difficult section of all to write? Be honest: who *actually* live an interesting enough live to deserve a full page worth of bandwith? If I tell you I am 27 year old and the best thing in my life, after my father, is my cat, are you floored?*  Maybe, writing an "About" page is a matter of perfect timing in using both the bragging attitude AND the sense of false modesty.

So you'll have to forgive me if I leave this space blank until something worthy to post comes to my mind. And please, don't hold your breath while doing so, 'cause you could injure yourself badly.

In the meanwhile, if you really want who I am, here are a few hints. Go to places I like, and link from here to these. Have a second look at my photos. Zoom on a detail. Question my subjects.  Read the skies. They saw me. I was with them. I made a deal. I was to show them to the world, and in return, they would hide me from it. Deal sealed.

Once this done, or even before since you may feel frustrated by the above, please, drop me a note or sign my guestbook urgently, before you forget what you wanted to say.

Cheers

Genevieve

* I have slightly altered the reality, for the sake of the example. You should have read: my father, my cat *and* my friends. I had to rectify, in case they stumbble on this site and happen to read the small print.
